Can you mention similar fainomenon in any other country in …Europe?

admin answers:

We deserve the punishment for our stupidity.
It is the psychology of the masses and what something that may start in good intention can turn into something dangerous only because we get something for “free”, and this is the extreme example of that case.
Manipulation of human greediness is an every day fact on many of the so called offers by a plethora of situations.
He driving force in this case was only the “free” and not the environment.
Those who want to do something about it, have already done the proper moves to help on the environment issue and the energy saving movement along with their own economy .

Lizzie asks…

Fluorescent tube lighting vs energy saving bulbs?

I want to put some Fluorescent tube lights in my garage and currently i have energy saving bulbs in the garage. Will it be cheaper to run Fluorescent tube lights or energy saving bulbs? i believe the energy saving bulbs are rated at 20w per bulb. I have yet to buy tube lights.
Probably gonna go for a 4 foot tube so thats 40 watts? Wouldnt it be cheaper to run the 20 wattt energy savings bulb or is there some confusing science to this

admin answers:

If you’re going to be using it as general lighting, fluorescent tubes will be cheaper. Tubes are rated at 10w per foot, but they last practically forever. We have’t had particularly good results with the new CFL bulbs, they don’t seem to last long no matter what brand we’ve tried.

Richard asks…

Is there an energy saving light bulb for JDR+C GU10 120V 50W Bulb?

Need to save energy in my kitchen. Have 4 / 50watt bulbs in track lighting unit.

admin answers:

Sorry Ted, Haven’t gotten all my new catalogs yet for ’08 but I don’t think there are any GU10 based Flours on the market. You could always rewire the sockets to the new GU24 Flours.. Or the othe options are to lower the wattage on the Fixture or put it on a dimmer.
