David asks…
Is CWA Communication Workers of America Going On Strike?
I am worried. at&t wants them to strike. The company can survive and save lots of money without union workers.

admin answers:
The company cannot afford to replace 110,000 technicians over 22 states instantly. Contract negotiation and strike is a traditional pratice between At&T and CWA. Even if the company was willing to freeze all operations in the field and rehire over 100,000 employees, customers will not stand for their phone, internet, and/or television service to be unattended. AT&T is trying to appear fearless, but this is absolutely false. In response the the company’s financial position in this economy? AT&T reported a bottom line profit of $12.9 BILLION in 2008. This is after all the stockholder and executive being paid as well as all costs towards healthcare, etc. The people heading the company are trying to find ways to fatten their pockets even more, but they cannot do so without the people who work in the field everyday and built the company.
The facts show that the company cannot afford a long strike, but can absolutely afford to give the union members the right to maintain the contract they have operated under for the last 5 years, during which the company has expanded, launched new services, and has continued to be extreemly profitable.

Betty asks…
Why does the CWA(Communication Workers of America) support Obama?

admin answers:
Are you kidding, I can’t figure out why anyone with enough sense to hold a job would support Obama.

I don’t trust the media because they have a left-wing, liberal agenda. If you want the truth then you have to watch FoxNews.
