xMatters has announced the universal availability of what it calls “the world’s first” hosted, cloud-based relevance engine.
Some time ago, xMatters — which was formerly known as AlarmPoint Systems — had provided information delivery. However, after receiving constant requests from clients, the company went ahead and developed a new service offering that help clients to rapidly build and deploy relevance engines in a SaaS (News – Alert) cloud.
Having more than 300 man-years of technical investment, xMatters on demand can provide clients with the capability to build, deploy and utilize relevance engines which can deliver the information that is of importance to people, enabling them to act on the information with a capability called mass personalization.
“Our clients have requested the ability to personalize information and deliver it on a mass scale to their mobile customers,” said Troy McAlpin, CEO of xMatters. “In our mobile society, it’s important for our clients to connect with their customers when services are impacted, health and safety events occur or they need to connect with a product or service. Mass personalization provides a personalized experience, across the masses.”
xMatters presently has hosted relevance engines specially designed for energy, education, telecommunications and health care organizations, in addition to emergency management, business continuity and risk professionals. Moreover, various new features have also been added to this release, which includes the ability to quickly provide and use a relevance engine in the cloud. This new feature improves the on boarding capabilities and further reduces the time to value for clients and provides numerous additional ease of use features.
In a release, Abbas Haider Ali the AVP of Advisory services at xMatters said, “We believe being involved and helping people, when it matters is an important part of what we do. xMatters is so versatile, lending use cases for a variety of communication situations. We are currently working with organizations to define what services are needed and how we can help.”
xMatters on demand is a user-friendly, hosted service for persons who need to communicate, when it is required. The service is accessible from any location, through a dispersed, redundant architecture and web based human interface, supporting hundreds of devices like Droid, iPhone (News – Alert), iPad, BlackBerry and others.
