Holmdel, New Jersey based provider of high-quality, voice and messaging services over broadband networks Vonage has announced that it is going to leverage business support systems from Amdocs for its U.S., Canadian, and United Kingdom operations under a five-year, managed services agreement. The announcement was made at Amdocs’ (News – Alert) 2010 Global InTouch Business Forum, Amdocs’ annual customer and partner event taking place this week.
”We’re continuing to expand our product offerings which require more flexibility in our customer management, billing and ordering capabilities,” said Nick Lazzaro, senior vice president of product development and information technology for Vonage (News – Alert). “The Amdocs solution will help us improve time-to-market for innovative products and services, and deliver a superior experience for our customers.” ”Vonage is a pioneer in VoIP and a recognized innovator,” said Brian Shepherd, group president of marketing and mobile services for Amdocs. “Leveraging Amdocs’ managed services excellence and integrated product portfolio can help accelerate Vonage’s business growth and operational efficiencies as it brings new products to market.” The Amdocs BSS Pack is an off-the-shelf solution that delivers Amdocs’ charging, ordering, enterprise product catalog and activation management systems, as well as the required implementation services and business processes. By leveraging the Amdocs BSS solution companies are able to launch new products more quickly, bundle products and promotions, increase sales and offer better customer service, while improving operational efficiencies and reducing costs. Through its industry-leading customer experience systems, Amdocs allows service providers the world over to deliver an integrated, innovative and intentional customer experience at every point of service. An established provider of broadband telephone services, Vonage boasts 2.45 million subscriber lines. Its comprehensive and low-cost services, with features like call waiting, call forwarding and voicemail – for one low flat monthly rate, offer an experience similar to traditional telephony. In addition to national retailers including Best Buy, Circuit City, WalMart and Target, Vonage also sells its service through the Internet to customers in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom. In recent news, China’s Hubei Telecom has selects Amdocs CRM and BSS Systems.
