BigBand Networks, Inc. has announced a reseller partnership with Technetix Group, a leading European broadband cable and telecommunications equipment supplier. The partnership has allowed BigBand to expand its footprint in the European cable market.
Together the two companies will provide a turn-key, integrated approach to IP delivery that includes BigBand’s vIP PASS, an end-to-end video IP delivery platform, and CVEx(Converged Video Exchange), the first of its kind intelligent software control plane that facilitates convergence between different video applications and end-user screens. Service providers benefit immensely from BigBand’s vIP PASS as it offers faster time to market and lower operating and capital expense as compared to other transport alternatives. “We’re pleased to work with BigBand to address the market demand for high-quality, interactive, on-demand video delivery, which is growing at an exceptional pace,” said Paul Broadhurst, CEO of Technetix (News – Alert) Group. “We can now offer our clients a more turn-key approach with proven video solutions that capitalize on existing infrastructure to help them roll-out new services quickly and cost-effectively.
