I like being an energy pig! I’ll let you in on a little secret……psst, come a bit closer and I’ll tell you….(we’ll see if it’s true that if you want people to listen to you, whisper…)

And that’s the problem with the basic strategy of trying to get people to conserve energy. People like being warm when it’s cold out and cool when it’s warm out!
Personally I enjoy road trips. Just today I drove with my wife to Pony Tail Falls near Cascade Locks Oregon, then took the long way home to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Columbia River Gorge. Should I feel guilty? Should I have instead stayed home and saved the gas? I don’t think so! I and my wife enjoyed the hell out of ourselves!
Hmm, so where does that leave us? We need to stop polluting the atmosphere, but people aren’t going to stop doing what they enjoy and can afford to do. So, the answer is to make energy clean. Then it wouldn’t matter!
