A property company in Lincolnshire has won three awards for its eco-friendly building practices and its affordable homes.

Larkfleet Group was named Affordable Housebuilder of the Year at the recent Housing Excellence Awards, having narrowly missed out on the title in 2009.

Working with landlords, councils and housing associations, the firm has been delivering a range of affordable homes in Lincolnshire and the East Midlands.

In recognition of its sustainable building policies, Larkfleet has also won a Green Apple Award from the Green Apple Organisation.

The prize celebrates its dedication to green building practices and energy-saving technologies.

Judges were impressed by its demonstration house, which showcased a range of methods designed to meet energy efficiency regulations in a low-cost way.

The third award also recognised Larkfleet’s commitment to fulfilling and exceeding environmental standards in its homes.

Managing director Karl Hick said: “These award wins demonstrate just how Larkfleet Group is committed to providing not only much needed affordable housing but also sustainable housing.”

The company’s current projects range from single plots to urban extensions of up to 1,000 properties.
