Praetorian Secure, LLC will resell Security Blanket, Trusted Computer’s automated operating system lock down tool.

Praetorian Secure delivers security services that enable U.S. government and commercial companies to comply with the highest and most stringent security standards.

Officials with Trusted Computer said that Security Blanket offers a cost-effective way to consistently and predictably secure an organization’s systems in a fraction of the time that it takes to lock them down manually.

Company officials said that the solution enables system administrators to configure and enhance the security level of operating systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 4 and 5, CentOS versions 4 and 5, Solaris 10, Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 and 5, Novell SUSE 11 and openSUSE (News – Alert) 11, as well as Fedora 10, 11 and 12. Security Blanket also supports Linux on IBM System z.

“Praetorian Secure has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality security services and we are pleased that they will offer Security Blanket to their existing and prospective clients,” said Ed Hammersla, chief operating officer, Trusted Computer Solutions, in a statement.

Hammersla said that they have an established presence in numerous companies that may not be aware of the enormous cost and resource savings that Security Blanket provides by automating the lock down of multiple operating systems.

Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS) provides a broad portfolio of cyber security solutions that have a proven track record of proactively preventing government and commercial organizations from being compromised.

“We were introduced to Security Blanket by one of our customers,” said Brent Bernard, chief executive officer, Praetorian Secure.

“It is the first tool we have seen that assesses the security of the operating system against industry standards and then automates the configuration of the operating system to meet those standards”, said Bernard.

He said that the company provides security services to government customers who require compliance to the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) UNIX Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) as well as commercial companies that base their security policies on industry standard best practices.

“Security Blanket has these standards pre-defined so customers can lock down a server in seconds versus spending hours doing it manually. We are very pleased to be a reseller of this technology and look forward to a rewarding relationship with TCS,” said Bernard.

Praetorian Secure, LLC, is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that provides security services that make the U.S. government and commercial companies compliant with the highest security standards.
