Susan asks…
Is the “Real Yellow Pages” and “Yellow Book” the same thing?
I keep seeing commercials for Yellow Book with the little “let your fingers do the walking” logo but our book we get here are called the Real Yellow Pages with AT&T logos…..so are they the same thing or competitors?

admin answers:
They are competitors. The Real Yellow Pages is put out by the phone company, and Yellow Book is an independent publisher of directories. They are really the same thing — yellow pages, white pages — but the rates to advertise are sometimes wildly different.
The walking fingers logo is a symbol used by most yellow pages companies. Kind of like a stop sign– no one owns it.

Ruth asks…
For $100,000 would you do a layout in Playboy/Playgirl? How about in the Real Yellow Pages?

admin answers:
I’m prolly gonna catch hell (literally!) for this answer, but baby, for $100,000, I’d do a layout in the BIBLE! ; )

Helen asks…

Laura asks…
Why doesn’t the Yellow Pages come on CD-ROM?
Big thick Yellow Pages dumped into every driveway, business, and apartment building every year? What a waste of paper? Many people don’t use this archaic old fashioned way of finding information anymore. And that big thick book goes from driveway to trash or recycle bin. And we can’t opt-out of having this delivered (probably so that the Real Yellow Pages can keep charging high rates for listings). Why doesn’t the Yellow Pages (and the White Pages) deliver this on CD-ROM and actually help the environment.

admin answers:
It’s such a waste of paper because you can use it online as well
