London to host eco motor show

London is to host an eco motor show later this year, it has been announced.

Showcasing the latest models and prototypes of electric, hybrid and low carbon models, EcoVelocity will attract people from industry, trade and the public.

Already confirmed for the event, which takes place from September 8th to 11th at Battersea Power Station, will be a range of green supercars and a catwalk parade of the best eco cars on the market by What Car?

Giles Brown, founder and organiser of the event, promised that the EcoVelocity “is going to be of great interest to motorists learning what the industry has to offer them right now and in the future”.

Visitors will also be able to attend the Eco-Lab and learn about what makes a vehicle low carbon and take a closer look at the cars that will give them exemption from car tax and congestion charge.

In November, the Future Car Challenge will return, seeing low carbon cars race the 60-mile route from Brighton to London in the quickest time and of the lowest fuel economy.
