Kapsch CarrierCom, a global company with a portfolio of fixed, mobile, transportation and access networks solutions for operators, and GENBAND, a developer of next-generation networking solutions and services, joined forces with Kapsch CarrierCom (News – Alert) AG in a bid to enter the European market.
Kapsch CarrierCom will act as a European reseller and a system integration partner and distribute and support GENBAND (News – Alert) next gen infrastructure solutions. Zane Long, Senior Vice President Global Reseller Group, GENBAND, believed that Kapsch CarrierCom was well positioned to be a strategic partner in the European market with its comprehensive portfolio in all aspects of operating mobile networks. Long was pleased with the strategic partnership with Kapsch and said that this would go a long way in the speedy adoption and deployment of next -gen solutions, which in turn would maximize investment while delivering cutting-edge functionality. The significant possibilities of the ongoing collaboration was something to really look forward to. Kapsch CarrierCom’s recent acquisition of certain Nortel GSM assets has uniquely positioned the company to fuel important migration to next-generation mobile technologies such as LTE (News – Alert). Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, Kapsch CarrierCom has become a global leader and total solution provider of GSM infrastructure. The company successfully implements GSM(R)/3G/LTE, NGN/IMS/MSAN, IP-MPLS/ Carrier Ethernet, SDP/Telco2.0, OSS/BSS and Professional Services. GENBAND’s strategic acquisition of the Nortel (News – Alert) CVAS assets enhanced customer experience. Schöpf was pleased to be part of the distributing and integrating GENBAND solutions as Kapsch migrated networks to LTE and IMS.. Of the total of 24 resellers that have joined GENBAND, 15 of them have partnered GENBAND since January 2009.
