For a number of companies, moving to an all-IP environment requires moving voice communications away from analog connections and onto the network infrastructure. The challenge in many situations is that either the enterprise does not want to put IP Telephony on the network – or there are physical limitations that prohibit this integration.
Hyde Telecom is a 10 year-old company that offers a complete line of Mitel (News – Alert) products. The company specializes in pre-sale consulting services and support for customers and also offers a group forum twice a year to keep customers in the loop on new technologies and available upgrades.
When Hyde Telecom works with a company that is facing limitations in implementing IP Telephony on the network, they turn to the Phybridge (News – Alert) UniPhyer to get the job done. In a recent podcast, Doug Postel, Vice President and owner of Hyde Telecom shared keen insight into the benefits of using UniPhyer when IP Telephony integration into the LAN poses a challenge.
This VoIP enabler is applicable in situations where a new IP PBX (News – Alert) has just been installed, the LAN does not need to be upgraded, the installation of an IP PBX and IP Phones will disrupt time and work routine or the organization is apprehensive about actual gains in productivity and TOI.
Postel shared a few customer examples where the UniPhyer enabled his team to get the job done, without interfering with the LAN. Omnium had a large warehouse and production facility and the corporation would not allow IP Telephony on the main network. The building also had very tall ceilings and the UniPhyer allowed the company to rely on an existing twisted pair.
Hyde Telecom also provided benefit to a printing company seeking to easily install IP Telephony with the use of the UniPhyer. A security bank customer presented another challenge to Hyde as a company policy required that only certain apps run on the LAN and the organization was not comfortable adding IP Telephony to that list of apps and used Uniphyer to create a separate network.
A special offer in place for prospective Hyde customers relies on the fact that the company is very pleased with the UniPhyer and very confident in what the end result. The company is offering to prospects and older customers looking to move to IP Telephony a “try and buy” opportunity so they do not have to make the sacrifice without knowing the benefits that are delivered in IP Telephony implementation with Phybridge UniPhyer.
