To streamline the service contract process, Harmonic (News – Alert) Inc., a premier provider of video delivery solutions to broadcast, cable, Internet, mobile, satellite and telecom video service providers around the world, has selected Encover’s Global Service Contract software.
With the integration of the solution with Harmonic’s existing Salesforce.com (News – Alert) customer relationship management infrastructure, effective collaboration with customers will be enabled by providing them with an online portal for review of their service renewal quotes.
“We believe that the integrated Encover solution will help us increase customer satisfaction and provide customers with increased visibility into service contract status,” Mark Carrington, VP of Service and Support for Harmonic Inc, said. “Encover’s experience in the industry combined with a software platform purpose-built for managing the service contract process were key factors in our selection. After carefully considering a variety of solutions, we decided that Encover’s solution would offer us the most compelling Total Cost of Ownership at the lowest possible risk.”
“We are extremely pleased that Harmonic has selected Encover to deploy an end-to-end software platform to enable their sales organization and channel partners to more effectively manage the contract renewal process. Harmonic’s confidence in our ability to handle large and sometimes complex service quotes is a testament to the robustness of our technology,” John Vitalie, Chief Executive Officer of Encover Inc, said.
In related news, a definitive agreement has been signed by Harmonic, Inc. to acquire Omneon, Inc., a provider of media server and active storage systems.
