Openet (News – Alert), a provider of transactional intelligence for network service providers, announced the launch of its FusionWorks Profile Manager product.

Profile Manager is the latest in a series of innovative products designed to enable operators to optimize the subscriber experience in real time, the company said. It extends and enhances the fully 3GPP-compliant Subscriber Profile Repository (SPR) function supporting FusionWorks Policy Manager.
The solution also integrates with FusionWorks Balance Manager to deliver a single, comprehensive, centralized profile solution. The system supports a unique range of new services, such as rating decisions based on profile information or promotional policy decisions based on top-up behavior, overall balance or average balance.
Company officials say these complex layers of data are available to drive real-time decisions for industry leading performance, and enable a robust “single view” of the constellation of subscriber data. Only Openet enables services and personalization that integrate all three dimensions of a subscriber behavior: purchase behavior, network access and service usage, they added.
In addition to supporting policy and charging functions, Profile Manager also functions as Openet’s recently announcedSubscriber Data Management (SDM) architecture.
SDM powers solutions such as Audience (News – Alert) and Engagement Measurement, which enables operators to collect, aggregate, enrich and distribute usage data and subscriber profile information in real time to deliver more personalized services and highly targeted marketing campaigns. This translates user behavior into a one-to-one experience, resulting in additional revenue
According to Mike Manzo, chief marketing officer of Openet, service provider networks are becoming more sophisticated and the amount of data regarding individual subscribers grows, making centralization a significant challenge. There is also a significant need to unite subscriber information.
Manzo added, “Profile Manager integrates fragmented systems to provide a comprehensive, three dimensional view of subscriber information, allowing accurate views of subscriber usage and billing, and enabling personalized services based on all relevant data.”
Openet’s implementations include long-running engagements with leading service providers such as BT (News – Alert), Orange, AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
