Energy efficient property nominated

An energy efficient property in Herefordshire has been nominated in a building excellence award scheme.

The Vallets Farmhouse was put forward for the category of Best Individual Dwelling in the regional Local Authority Building Control (LABC) West of England Building Excellence Awards.

Described by Herefordshire Council as “an outstanding example of modern Georgian architecture”, the farmhouse scheme blends modern technology with an older building.

Renewable energy technologies, including a ground source heat pump, help to reduce the building’s carbon dioxide emissions.

Solar panels are also included in the design.

Vallets is one of a number of construction projects in Herefordshire nominated in the award scheme.
