eCrypt Technologies Satisfied with the Preliminary Results of Vision Critical Research

eCrypt Technologies, an information security form that focuses on the wireless industry, announced it has received preliminary results of the research conducted by Vision Critical,  a  leading research consultant and parent of Angus Reid Public Opinion.

“We’ve begun to tabulate the results provided to us by Vision Critical and the preliminary numbers indicate that the market demand for our product is much greater than we originally projected.” Brad Lever, CEO of eCrypt Technologies, stated.

eCrypt has no doubt that the market will accept the solution. The data shows the company has entered into a rapidly growing market, with the right product, at the right time. The company is in the process of implementing business plan and confident that it will exceed the original projections, Lever added.

Vision Critical was retained by eCrypt Technologies to ascertain primarily early adopters, price point, awareness in the market, and initial market size for the company’s email privacy solutions.

The preliminary results shows 88 percent of respondents are interested in email privacy software for smartphones. About 77 percent of those who download apps infrequently or never, are interested in email privacy software, reinforcing the widespread appeal.

The data also revealed that 75 percent of respondents show concern about the privacy and security of emails sent via smartphones, which supports the high level of interest in an email privacy solution.

The company’s flagship product, “eCrypt” email privacy software for BlackBerry (News – Alert) smartphones, is available for download at the company’s website www.ecryptinc.com .

eCrypt software prevents unwanted access to email messages during transmission and storage on servers and PCs. Users may communicate freely with each other knowing that no one has access to the content of their emails.

“We conduct a wide range of concept studies, particularly in the technology section”, Chris Ferneyhough, senior vice president of Vision Critical stated. “But it is very rare to see the strong levels of interest as those being shown in the research we did for eCrypt.”

“The message is clear: there is a high level of demand among smartphone users for eCrypts’ email privacy software,” Ferneyhough added.

eCrypt is an Associate Member of the BlackBerry Alliance Program and has successfully obtained a Mass Market Status for its product from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security.

In May last week, eCrypt announced that the company’s international television campaign running on CNBC has been a huge success. The company reported the traffic to the Web site is up over 300 percent, with more than 85 percent of the visitants being first time visitors.
