Schools, businesses and environmentalists will work to raise awareness of energy efficiency and climate change during the next seven days for Climate Week.
Running from March 21st-27th, events are being held across the UK large and small.
One local Sainsbury’s in Oxon will be handing out energy saving lightbulbs this week, as well as providing energy saving tips, while school road safety officers in Wales will be asking pupils and parents to walk to school this week.
In Exeter, Regen SW will bring together people from the construction sector, landowners and local authorities to discuss issues of sustainability, renewable energy and government incentive schemes such as feed-in tariffs.
A total of 3,048 events will take place over the week, finishing with the Climate Week Awards.
The public can vote for Climate Week Hero, the most inspirational young person, the best initiative by a business and the best new energy saving products, among other categories.
