By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

Airwide Solutions, a provider of next generation mobile messaging infrastructure, applications and solutions, recently announced it teamed up with Cricket Communications (News – Alert), Inc. to enhance its next-generation tiered messaging architecture which includes the complete series of Airwide products. The enhancement consists of a capacity expansion of AirMessenger Router infrastructure and the implementation of AirGuard AntiSpam in association with Cloudmark (News – Alert) which is an Airwide Solution Partner.      Cricket has been significantly developing both in terms of subscriber number and messaging traffic. Cricket ranks first to provide an easy and cost effective unlimited wireless service without any long-term obligation or credit checks. It offers service to over five million customers in 35 states and the District of Columbia. Cricket uses AirMessenger Router and AirManager Admin to consistently deliver a huge number of text messages send by its subscribers month-by-month. This expansion guarantees subscribers the desired performance and reliability. Cricket is planning to implement Airwide’s AirGuard AntiSpam which is deployed in concurrence with Cloudmark. This is to make sure that subscribers get the required protection and they are free from spam. The AirGuard AntiSpam solution utilizes Cloudmark Authority for complete network protection of mobile spam from all sources, and handles capacity by means of AirMessenger Router. Andrew Wyse, vice president of global sales for Airwide Solutions (News – Alert), said: “We are committed to enabling customers to intelligently grow their messaging infrastructures to keep pace with demand and progress while preserving their existing infrastructure investment. Airwide’s next-generation messaging architecture scales intelligently in order to accommodate Cricket’s continued growth with greater capacity, efficiency, and security.” Airwide Solutions’ products and solutions serves over 150 wireless operators globally to make maximum use of their mobile networks, protect and spread out revenue streams, facilitate new services and alternative business models. Airwide Solutions has offices all over the world which includes Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa. Airwide’s open, tiered Fusion architecture provides sophisticated revenue options to mobile operators. It is a practical pathway to Mobile Messaging 2.0 and upcoming messaging technologies. The company has always been in the first position such as the first one to send text message, introduce SMS router etc.
