CA Technologies Announces New Portfolio for Helping Businesses Verify Environments

CA Technologies, a IT management software and solutions company, has stated that they have announced a new service assurance strategy and portfolio that will help businesses verify the performance of their physical, virtual and cloud environments.

Usually companies find out about their service problems only after their customers complain about the shortcomings and afterwards they spend more of their time trying to manage problems and devote less time adding value to their business. Businesses can attempt to figure out the issues at the early stages but they require a real business service management to find root cause, fix service quality problems and eliminate risk.

CA (News – Alert) has stated that their Service Assurance integrates and analyzes information from users’ diverse technology domains and application performance management tools to present a unified view of all the IT components that comprise each of their services and which components are impacting service quality or putting it at risk. CA Service Assurance is designed to greatly improve the business service management.

Cliff Meltzer, corporate senior vice president and general manager of Service Assurance business unit at CA Technologies has commented that customers need to manage services across the IT infrastructure, and CA Service Assurance moves beyond siloed network, server or application metrics to provide an unprecedented, comprehensive view of service delivery. With this level of assurance, customers can focus their efforts on the most important business-related issues and improve the end user experience with the services being delivered. As a result, they can make cost-effective changes that will help enhance customer satisfaction and drive repeat and new business.

According to the company, by leveraging the integration and deep analytics found across the CA eHealth, NetQoS, Spectrum, and Wily Application Performance Management (APM (News – Alert)) products, the CA Service Assurance portfolio uniquely links applications, transactions and services to infrastructure to facilitate better service delivery.

Jim Frey, research director for Enterprise Management Associates has stated that the need to think and manage in terms of service and transaction constructs is critical as organizations race to keep up with dynamic IT environments and better support the business. By combining its NetQoS (News – Alert) and Wily assets with those of eHealth and Spectrum, CA Service Assurance will help organizations move to a comprehensive service-based view of their world, from the end user experience, through the network, to the physical and virtual infrastructure.

In related news, CA Technologies integrated Cisco (News – Alert), enhances data center management tool and delivered new releases of database management.
