British actors are very popular, look at the Harry Potter series, older James Bond (personally I liked the British ones better), Dr. Who, Monty Python, the list is endless. America went ape over the Beatles. Heck, Hugh Grant was caught with a prostitute and all he had to do was go on a talk show and do his British charm thing, and Americans loved him again. Well, probably not the bible beaters, you can’t win them all.

Americans hated Exxon so much the company changed it’s name. Anyone who says Americans are upset with BP because it’s a European company, is a bit clueless. Like this 3 people like this comment by Yelonde June 4, 2010 1:59 PM PDT Europeans really think that?

If so, then perhaps a company called “American Petroleum” should build a failing oil-rig off the coast of England and France, and watch our months-long, yet failing efforts to contain a massive oil spill. In the meantime, thousands of european fishermen lose their jobs, Europe’s tourism industry suffers, with the once white cliffs of dover become black with crude.

Just saying. I am not sure if Europeans really think that about us Americans, but if they really do, then they clearly do not understand the situation in the gulf. Like this by Adam-M June 4, 2010 2:26 PM PDT
