Blue Canopy Group, LLC, a woman owned small business provider of technologies and solutions for mission-critical national security programs, has won a prime contract, under a $6.6 billion multi-award contract from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to provide worldwide Information Technology (IT) support services to the Government.

Officials with Blue Canopy said that the services include enterprise, end-to-end life cycle IT support from requirements analysis through system design, development, fielding, and sustainment of global Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and the intelligence components of Command and Control (C2) system assets that are vital to the security of the United States.

“We have assembled a world class team that brings both fresh ideas and proven capability to the community”, said Bradley Schwartz, president & CEO, Blue Canopy in a statement.

Schwartz said that Blue Canopy has supported DIA for the past seven years, and the company is excited to have the opportunity to continue providing essential IT mission support to DIA and the customers serviced through the SITE vehicle.

Eric Husebo, partner in Blue Canopy’s defense and intelligence practice and SITE Program Manager said that the company is excited about being given a platform to provide enterprise IT support to the defense intelligence community and the field commanders.

“Whether the need is for field support in Afghanistan or leveraging technology to save money, our team will translate the need into actionable information as we respond to the warfighter,” said Husebo.

Recently Blue Canopy´s federal unit had won a year-long training contact with the US Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC.

As part of the contract, Blue Canopy will provide international negotiations training to both military and police transition teams (MiTTS/PiTTS) in preparation for their missions in Iraq.
