Beceem’s 4G-WiMAX CPE Chipset Helps to Power Open Range’s Communications Devices

Beceem Communications (News – Alert) is a well known supplier of mobile 4G-WiMAX chips. Beceem Communications recently announced that its competitive, high-performance BCS5200 4G-WiMAX chipset is powering the “Freedom 4G” CPE used in Open Range’s new “Perfectly SimpleSM” wireless broadband service. This service is presently available in North Colorado and will soon in various rural markets in a dozen other states. With simple and easy-to-use service, it helps the consumers and businesses to access high speed Internet wirelessly at true broadband speeds. Also, by using the Freedom 4G CPE, the users are able to enjoy built-in WiFi (News – Alert) in addition to local and long distance digital phone service.

Open Range Communications is an American-based broadband wireless Internet services provider. Open Range is mainly focused in offering absolutely simple SM high speed Internet and digital phone service to around 546 communities nationwide. By 2014, Open Range plans to provide their services to roughly six million people via its 4G-WiMAX network.

Beceem provides a variety of single-chip solutions optimized for mobile devices and CPE markets. The products from Beceem are WiMAX certified and are exclusively designed to power the CLEAR and Sprint (News – Alert) 4G networks in the United States.
