Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group, Inc., an emerging global player in the design, implementation and management of high performance Information Technology Systems infrastructure solutions, has been awarded a three-year contract with First Federal Savings Bank to provide upgrades to existing voice telecommunications infrastructure across their 22 locations in Central Kentucky.

First Federal Savings Bank began operations in 1923 and evolved over time into a complete financial services center with approximately $1 billion in assets.  Today, with 22 branches spread over eight counties in Central Kentucky, First Federal’s financial solutions include traditional lending for homes, cars, boats and other consumer products, as well as traditional deposit services such as checking, savings and CD’s. Officials with Beacon said that the company has been working with First Federal Savings Bank since 2007, and has upgraded all of its branch locations with new ITS infrastructure and connected their voice and data communications between all locations with a new MPLS data network.  Company officials said that as part of this new contract, Beacon will upgrade the bank’s voice services to handle unified messaging and integration to Microsoft (News – Alert) OCS. Additionally, Beacon will manage upgrades to First Federal’s telephony back-up power facility in case of an electrical outage. “This contract award with an existing client further demonstrates the viability and strength of Beacon’s business model, and our ability to solve the ITS needs of not only national and international clients, but of regional companies as well,” said Bruce Widener, CEO of Beacon Solutions, in a statement.  “Since our first engagement with First Federal Savings Bank, our team has effectively demonstrated the value of our ITS managed infrastructure solutions. Through our steady stream of new contract wins, Beacon continues to manage mission-critical communication needs across a wide variety of industries, including the highly regulated demands of the financial services sector”, said Widener.  He said the company’s ITS managed solutions are crucial for consistency, stability and flexibility as the clients’ needs evolve.  “We expect our relationship with First Federal Savings Bank to strengthen over the years as they continue to grow and expand in new locations”, said Widener. “We look forward to working with this important client as we support their ITS needs for both existing branches and new locations throughout Kentucky,” he said.
