ACT Conferencing, global provider of corporate audio conferencing, video conferencing, and web conferencing services has signed SHI, a $3 billion global provider of information technology products and services, to its expanding list of channel partners.
SHI is headquartered in Piscataway, New Jersey with offices located throughout the world, and ranks number 49 on Everything Channel’s 2010 VAR 500 list. SHI as part of the pact will resell ACT’s ReadyConnect audio and web conferencing services in the U.S. with plans to expand internationally. “SHI is a phenomenal force in the VAR industry, carrying long-standing relationships with many of the Fortune 1000 companies,” said Paul Vick, director, channel and strategic sales, ACT Conferencing, in a statement. “This relationship signals significant growth potential for both SHI and ACT because we’re bringing a streamlined solution to SHI’s knowledgeable sales reps. Coupled together SHI and ACT will give clients enormous value in their audio and web conferencing services,” said Vick. SHI officials said that the company has a high standard when selecting partners and therefore the company thoroughly evaluated ACT’s conferencing solutions for quality and its commitment and investment in serving its channel partners. SHI chose to work with ACT because of solid commitment around providing partners with unified communications support both pre and post sale. ACT’s Unified Communications (News – Alert) Team is working with SHI’s more than 1,000 person sales force to provide services, sales and marketing training. ACT will also provide customer support to SHI’s conferencing services clients. “SHI is proud to maintain a 99 percent customer retention rate. We accomplish this by listening to our customers and addressing their pain points with cost-effective, high-quality solutions,” said Marc Malafronte, services manager for SHI. “By adding ACT’s reservationless audio and web conferencing services to our product portfolio, we are addressing our clients’ needs with what we believe are the industry’s highest quality conferencing services and support available,” said Malafronte.
