Washington, D.C., United States –Abengoa Solar this week, was awarded a contract for developing a state-of-the-art power tower together with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
A portion of this heat will be used directly to generate steam, producing electricity inside the turbine, while the other part will be stored to be utilized for producing electricity whenever it is needed.
